Discovery, or Discovering Personal Genius, is an essential component of customized employment. Through discovery, support staff and members of an employment seeker’s employment team get to know an individual, exploring their emerging and resident skills and tasks, interests, vocational themes, ecological fit, ideal conditions for employment, personal attributes, and potential contributions to a business. Concurrently, the employment seeker and support staff explore the community, leverage social capital, build connections, and learn about opportunities, types of work, employers, etc.
